Sunday Special

Sunday Special

Premier League
Liverpool 1-2 Man Utd
What a cracker of a game to get Super Sunday under way. The result ended up going with current form but Liverpool will be disappointed not to get anything from this performance. They were easily the better of the two teams before Jonjo Shelvey saw red for a rash tackle on Jonny Evans. Gerrard gave Liverpool the lead with his second of the season just after half time before Rafael (2nd of the season) and a Van Persie penalty (5th of the season) sealed the win. Liverpool are still searching for their first league win of the season and a first clean sheet. Man Utd have now won 4 straight league games (5 including Europe) but have only kept 1 clean sheet.
Positions
Liverpool : 18th
Man Utd : 2nd
Prediction 1-3 : Result 102

Newcastle 1-0 Norwich
Demba Ba scored his 4th goal of the season to help Newcastle go 3 league games unbeaten, it could have been better but Cisse missed a penalty for Newcastle. Norwich are still looking for a league win this year. This was Newcastle's first clean sheet of the season, whilst Norwich have now failed to score in 3 games this season.
Positions
Newcastle : 10th
Norwich : 17th
Prediction 2-0 : Result 1-0

Man City 1-1 Arsenal
Both teams remain unbeaten after this thrilling game. City took the lead through Lescott's first goal of the season but Koscielny's late equaliser gave them a deserved point. City are still to keep a clean sheet this season but have scored in every game (cup games included). Arsenal have yet to concede in the second half.
Positions
Man City : 7th
Arsenal : 5th
Prediction 1-1 : Result 2-2

Tottenham 2-1 QPR
Tottenham had to come from a goal down to see off QPR. QPR took the lead thanks to Zamora's 4th goal of the season, he has scored all of QPR's 3 Premier League goals. Tottenham struck back with 2 goals in 90 seconds firstly through an own goal from Faurlin then a Jermain Defoe strike gave them the lead and win. Tottenham are now unbeaten in 4 (2 win on the trot), they have yet to keep a clean sheet but have scored in all league games this season. QPR are still looking for their first league win of the season.
Positions
Tottenham : 8th
QPR : 19th
Prediction 2-0 : Result 2-1
