Championship Review

Championship Review.

We have a new leader in Championship as Blackburn Rovers take the top spot after a thrilling 5-3 win at Bristol City. Blackburn continue a run of scoring in every game so far this season and remain unbeaten as 2 injury time goals sealed the win. Bristol City fans have been enjoying lots of goals at Ashton Gate this season averaging just over 6 goals a game per match. Blackpool drop to second after a 1-1 draw at Barnsley. Both teams are celebrating 125 years of being formed. The top scorers from each team Davies and Ince (4 and 5) scored the goals in an even game in which both teams where pushing for the win. Brighton make is 3 wins on the trot as Mackail-Smith make is 5 goals in 3 games. Sheff Wed suffered their 2nd defeat on the trot and have yet to keep a clean sheet this season. Hull pulled off a remarkable 4-1 win at home to Millwall, they've scored 7 in the last 2 games now where as Millwall have yet to shut the opposition out this season

Cardiff continued with their 100% home record with an impressive 2-1 win over Leeds. Cardiff have yet to win away from home but have won 3 out of 3 in front of the Welsh fans. Leeds have scored in every game this season but are shipping goals at the back. Nottingham Forest remain unbeaten but will be disappointed with this 2-2 draw against Birmingham. Even though Forest have scored 6 in their last 3 games they have also conceded 5. Birmingham have only kept 1 clean sheet and one of the favourites for promotion they are struggling and should be higher up the league. Middlesbrough pick up their 3rd win out of 3 at home to push Ipswich into the relegation zone with a 2-0 win. Huddersfield made it 4 games unbeaten with a 1-0 at home to Derby who have yet to keep a clean sheet.

Watford made it 2 defeats on the trot as they went 2-1 down at Bolton. Bolton climb to 10th with this win where as Watford need to sort out their defence after this game averaging 2 goals against a game. At the foot of the table Peterborough still have not got a point as they went 5-2 down at Burnley. They are now 4 points adrift at the bottom and have a mountain to climb already. Crystal Palace picked up a 2nd in on the trot as they won 1-0 away at Charlton. It was Charlton's 2nd defeat in the trot and they are averaging less than a goal a game.
