Premier League Preview

Premier League Preview

After the European games this week all eyes are back on the Premier League.

Saturday 22nd September
Swansea v Everton   KO 12:45
First match of the weekend is at the Liberty Stadium where Swansea host Everton. Swansea could go top before the others play with a win, where as Everton could go second. Swansea have not won in their last 2 games and will be looking to bounce back after a disapointing 2-0 at Villa last time out. Everton also are 2 games without a win although they deserved and should have had won against Newcastle on Monday. Everton have not conceded a goal yet in the first half and Swansea have conceded 3 out of there 4 in the first half.
Prediction : 1-2

Chelsea v Stoke   KO 15:00
Table toppers Chelsea take on Stoke at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are still unbeaten this season and after a draw at the weekend at QPR and against Juventus in the Champions League will want to be getting back to winning ways. Stoke have drawn all 4 games this season. The majority of Stoke's goals have come in the first half and Chelsea are yet to concede in the second.
Prediction : 3-0

Southampton v Aston Villa   KO 15:00
Southampton have yet to pick up a point this year as they host Aston Villa at St Mary's. The Saints have scored 5 goals but conceded 14 (6 in the last game at Arsenal). Villa, after a poor start, are now unbeaten in 2 and last weekends win would have given them a confidence boost
Prediction : 0-1

West Brom v Reading   KO 15:00
West Brom lost their unbeaten start to the season last weekend and will be looking to bounce straight back at home against Reading. West Brom have a 100% home record and are yet to concede at the Hawthorns. Reading on the other hand have no wins this season and their defence is looking a little shacky (7 conceded in the last 2 games).
Prediction : 2-1

West Ham v Sunderland   KO 15:00
West Ham have a 100% home record and like West Brom have yet to concede at home, they will be looking to continue that run as they welcome a Sunderland team who have drawn all 3 games so far this season. Neither team have scord in the second half of a math so if's a goalless first half you might aswell go home/
Prediction : 1-0

Wigan v Fulham   KO 15:00
Wigan have failed to score twice so far this season and all games this season there have been 2 or more goals. Fulham will be travelling to the DW without an away point all season, but Wigan have yet to win at home themselves. Fulham have yet to concede in the second half and they will be looking to build on their 3-0 against West Brom last time out.
Prediction : 1-2

Sunday 23rd September
Liverpool v Man Utd   KO 13:30
Super Sunday (and that's what it is today) starts with a cracker at Anfield where Liverpool play Man Utd. Liverpool have yet to win in the league this season and have not kept any clean sheets. Man Utd have won their last 4 games (including Cup games) and kept their first clean sheet in the league last time against Wigan.
Prediction : 1-3

Newcastle v Norwich   KO 15:00
Newcastle have drawn their last 2 games (3 including Thursday in Europe) and Norwich have drawn their last 3. Newcastle are unbeaten at home but have yet to score in the first half of a game. Norwich are struggling for goals at the moment.
Prediction : 2-0

Man City v Arsenal   KO 16:00
The biggest game of the weekend is at the City of Manchester Stadium. Man City are unbeaten this season but have drawn 2 games so far. They will be reeling after the 3-2 defeat to Real on Tuesday night and will want to bounce back with a good result. City have a 100% home record with the majority of their goals coming in the second half. Arsenal are on a high at the moment. They are also unbeaten and have won their last 2 games, scoring 6 in the last game. They have only conceded the one league goal this season and will be bouncing after an away win in the Champions League.
Prediction : 2-2

Tottenham v QPR   KO 16:00
Tottenham take on struggling QPR at White Hart Lane. Spurs are unbeaten in 3 but have drawn all home games this season. They have not conceded a goal in the first half but have let in 5 in the second. QPR have not won a game all season but come into this on the back of a good draw against Chelsea. Their only issue is lack of goals only 2 so far
Prediction : 2-0
