League One Preview

League One Preview

Top of the league Notts County travel to struggling Oldham. On paper this does not look a difficult game, Oldham have been struggling to score and County don't concede many goals. Unbeaten second place Tranmere host a Coventry team who have yet to win and have lost their last two games. Tranmere concede on average 0.4 goals a game and Coventry have been struggling for goals so far this could be a shut out. Another unbeaten team, Stevenage, host Crewe with neither team scoring freely don't expect this to be a high scoring game, the odd goal is likely to settle this. Free scoring Yeovil travel to a mid-table MK Dons team who have won all their home games so far, this could be a difficult trip for the Glovers. The last unbeaten team, Sheff Utd, host a Bury team who are looking very poor at the moment. They need a manager and quick as the season is getting away from them at the moment. The match of the weekend looks to be at Deepdale this week as a re-vitalised Preston take on a confident looking Crawley team, both teams are full of confidence and I think home advantage might sway the result here.

Walsall (unbeaten in 4) travel to Portsmouth who picked up their first win of the season last time out. Will the off field upheaval affect the Portsmouth players, it looks a good time to play them. Swindon, who are on the back of two defeats, travel to Carlisle who are just below them in the league. Di Canio has been criticised by his handling of some of the players can he answer them critics with a win tomorrow. As we drop down the table Doncaster, who have hit a slump at the moment after a strong start, travel to a Colchester team who have yet to win this season and are in the relegation zones. Doncaster have scored once in their lat 2 games and Colchester have failed to score at all, 0-0??

Bournmeouth picked up their first win of the season last week entertain a Hartlepool team who would be hoping for a better start than this. The last game of the weekend sees Shrewsbury welcome a Scunthorpe team who have only 1 point, 2 goals and shipped 12 so far this season. Scunthorpe fans will be hoping for a miracle I think this season to escape relegation.
